I really don’t think they can do better then that for Simmonds he had a terrible year last year they can get a 1st for him but that’s a good package maybe make Fox a better prospect.

At vbb, I get he wasn’t at his best, but If 24 goals for a physical player at 3.8 million is a ‘terrible year’ then I’d be willing to pay more than this because his ‘normal’ should be great. You don’t trade a player like that with a year left on a steal of a cap hit if the pkg doesn’t have a 1st or a top prospect. This has neither. It’s known I like Simmonds over patches, but habs couldn't justify trading pacioretty without a 1st or really good top prospect coming back, and patches had a worse season than Simmonds.
