The Jets would like to have Schenn but I can't see the them giving up Stanley as he is part of the Jets future defense. I know that you have to give up quality for quality but that's a lot for the Jets to pay for a rental that would be hard to keep with all the RFA's the Jets need to sign.

The Blues would likely want a higher end piece than Petan or Stanley and the Jets would have trouble fitting Schenn in next year. So, I don't think it would work.

Stanley sucks and if you can get Schenn for that package and you're a jets fan how could you not like this?! Anyways, no from blues this is not a good offer for him and they will get better offers for Schenn.

Do you have any proof whatsoever that Stanley sucks.

I have a hard time believing Blues will get back what they put in for Schenn. He’s not doing very well this year, and there are so many free agents available at deadline, it really is a buyers market this year. Time value has decreased since being traded. He’s just not worth what Blues paid for him two years ago when he was playing much better than he is currently. Why should Blues basically get to aren’t two years of Schenn and walk away paying nothing for him? Compared to other players (Kessel, O’Rielly) who brought 2x1st, it just doesn't seem like 1.5 years of Schenn should cost the same as 8 years of Kessel, for example.

My guess is that Schenn brings a similar return to what Statsney brought.

Stanley's game has improved enough that he's the Moose's best d-man and will push to be on the Jets roster next season. Its just the Jets don't rush their young players into the NHL until they are past ready to be there. Look at Niku. Stanley's going to be an important part of the Jets defense soon and won't be traded for a rental.

Thanks notdelusional. At least you don't make stupid comments like "they laugh at that" or "They hang up" without explaining why they disagree with a post. I also agree that teams will overpay for Schenn.

I’m unaware of stanley besides the fact he went 1st round, but I think St. Louis would be seeking a better offer for a Schenn. Interesting post.

Stanley is big physical and not tremendous offensively. I think he's got a hard shot though. I seem to think he wasn't the best skater coming out of juniors. He's playing decent on the moose.
Half the jets fans hate him for some reason I'm not overly sure of. Personally I think he'll make a second pairing guy at best.

A lot of Jets fans are down on Stanley because the Jets went off the board when they selected him. Probably, the same fans that flipped out when the Jets took Scheifele when Couturier was available and look how that turned out. I trust the Jets scouts.

Stanley was all over the board if I remember right he was as high as 10 in some as low as the 3rd round. People also disliked morissey.

The only 2 Jets draft picks that everyone was happy about was Laine of course and Connor at 16 was a happy surprise.
