Garbage offer. Those would be add ons to a bigger piece not main pieces if you want Laine.

No from Florida, Matheson is a stud and Borgstrom is the next Kopitar.

Not a bad offer for Laine as it helps address two if the Jets needs, but I believe the Jets aren't looking to trade him yet.

I also think Winnipeg could get more.

Borgstrom and Matheson are nice, but definitely not anything worth moving Laine for.

Islandjet and Vbb had good replies but Memarcus seriously undervalued the Florida package. Sorry for calling you a clown memarcus but you seriously can't believe that those are add ons smh

Yeah Sean I know you like to call names instead of trying to debate.

As for the offer, if the Jets HAD To trade Laine, maybe it would work, but since the Jets don't have to trade him, it would need to be a great offer to make them think about it and this isn't that.

Borgstrom is looking like a 3C at 22 already and yes he may make it as a 2C someday, but he also may not. Matheson is a nice second pairing guy, but is a left D which isn't a need and he's also 25.

So, when you actually look at it without bias it is pretty easy to see that there is nothing in that offer worth giving up an elite winger and the best teen goal scorer in 30 years for.

Just because you think it is good "value" on paper, doesn't mean that it works in reality. Team needs almost always outweigh value.
