to Winnipeg
Vitali Kravtsov
Brett Berard

to NY Rangers
Paul Stastny
Josh Morrissey

Both prospects are middling guys with good NHL chances. Stastny is a rental, but Morrissey is a long-term guy with both good results, a relationship with Trouba, and admittedly a contract that he has not been performing up to recently but could be a steal should he get back on track. This would be a gamble for the Rangers but they would not be parting with their most prized prospects, and the potential reward is a long-term, 1st round pick defenseman who has performed well in the past that would be making a reasonable (at the time of signing and hopefully, for whoever has him, later in his career) 6.25M until 2028.

That is really awful for Winnipeg. Kravtsov is worthless, he's playing in Russia and is a malcontent and Berard is an unneeded LW prospect.

I don't think the Jets would move Stastny alone for that.

Very generous to Nyr.

Not a chance from Winnipeg. Morrissey is too important to the Jets.

I can't see Jets moving Morrissey, especially for that. He has not been as good as he was a couple years ago, but he's capable of big rebound. If Jets were to move this guy, it would be in a bigger package, to bring someone on to replace him. Maybe him and parts for Chycryn would be good for Winnipeg.

Sosa, I think that if the Jets do look at adding a defenseman it would be an RHD. The Jets have enough left side depth in-house, so they might as well give those guys a chance first.

Morrissey is much better than the offer from the Rangers. The Jets have better prospects than these two being offered.

for what it's worth, Morrissey has been playing worth half his deal for several years now (according to advanced stats, so it depends on how much you trust those models) . It's looking like a bad deal, but from the looks of it a lot of people don't realize it yet.

I trust Island Jet on all things Winnipeg 👍.

I wouldn't. He kept insisting Laine was so much better than PLD. I bet he'd say the opposite now.

I never said PLD was better than Laine but the Jets would miss his scoring so get your facts straight. Now the Jets need a coach that can get the most out of this team.

I probably would have chosen Laine over PLD as well. Dubois has rewarded Winnipeg's faith in him this year 100%.

I give big kudos to Kevin Cheveldayof. Winnipeg has great fans and ownership, but it probably has the biggest challenge of any market in recruiting free agents. I don't mean that disrespectfully either. Climate is a factor, and with teams in the sun belt or in better tax jurisdictions, this is a challenge for all CDN teams. Despite this, Chevy builds a competitive team regardless.

@IslandJet ok you kept saying Laine was worth much more than just PLD. Same thing, different pile.

I never said that as well, so stop being so untruthful. Keep making up stories that try to support your comments.

Oh please, give it a rest. You repeatedly insisted Laine Laine would get a lot more than just PLD.
