Minnesota retains 50% of Parise's remaining Contract.

Minnesota gets younger in there rebuild, they are also weaker on the RWing and stronger on LWing.
Leafs still have that window to win it all and this helps huge for them, don't let Parise's age of 35 make you think they wouldn't consider this Proposal at all.
Cap wise it ends up basically the same for both Teams.

Thoughts ?

Neither team would, to big a risk for Toronto, minny doesn't need more 3rd and 4th liners. Highly doubt parise agree's to leave his home state at this point either. Not a chance minny retains 50%. Just so much wrong with this.

Parise’s 3.75M and Hymans 2.25M equal 6M. I’m sure Minnesota wouldn’t pay Hyman 6M.

Parise at 50% retained is worth quite a bit. He's probably good for 20 goals 50 points, 30/ 60 on Toronto's 2nd line. Right now he's worth a lot at 3.77 million, but when he's 40 will he be?

Top Getty hin at 50% retained will cost lots more, but to keep him makes it a gamble.

I don’t know what to say pinball, post a very similar trade again tomorrow and maybe people will agree. If not, try again the next day.

This deal was awful for Minnesota the first time you posted it, and guess what? It’s still awful. Parise at 50% retained is a seriously good asset, worth a lot more than a third liner and 2 AHL’ers at the very least. You’re delusional.

Toronto needs D - everyone knows that. They'll score enough goals, but keeping them out will be key. Not much value there for Parise, even though he's clearly a diminishing asset.
