Not bad price on trade but the resign is way too high in my opinion. Assuming 5.2 is the AAV.

I think Pageau has played well enough to maybe even get a 1st as a rental. This price is a little low even when considering an extension isn’t it?

Ottawa walks away. No 1st involved even as a rental means no trade, this is horrible as is for Ottawa to even think about.

Brook is a A- prospect and a 2 rd pick is good. This is almost what Sens got for Mark Stone.

Pageau has one decent year and he’s now worth a first and more? Dzingle is a better player and he only got two seconds.

Hockeyfanatic you have completely lost touch with reality. Sizing is only 1/ 4 the player pageau was, let alone the player he is now. Dingle was all speed on the wing nothing more and he still landed a couple 2nd rounders and duclair. He also was barely a 2nd unit power play guy and never killed penalties. On top of that, come playoffs he was virtually invisible.

Pageau on the other hand has more value than a winger given he's a center. He kills penalties like a boss. Great 2nd unit power play guy. Breaks his limits in playoffs. Has similar speed to dzingle. Plays well in the dirty areas. Is a true leader on ice and in locker room. Etc. Your insane if you think dzingle is better and pageau can't get at least a mid 1st, possibly a decent prospect as well.

Marc, Brook is not an A- prospect lol sens have better prospects in the system in docker Thompson tychonic wolanin and Lajoie. Let alone branstrom and Chabot. And for that matter the possibility of Drysdale or barron in the draft. This is a huge NO! Caufield and Suzuki are the. B+ / A- prospects. Add 1 of them and perhaps it's a discussion. Otherwise a 1st is needed hands down not the 2nd.
