NJD: Serverson, Zacha, 1rd2020

Jets:Laine

Jets gets a solid top 4 RHD, a good young center that had top 6 potential and could still get there and a first rd pick. NJD gets a one trick pony but his trick happens to be scoring goals which is why I think it would take a solid package like this to get him.

How is the value not there? Adam Larson alone got Taylor Hall in a lopsided trade, Severson is better imo. Then Zacha is still valuable he’s a solid player. Was on pace for 40+ points last year. He’s a lock to be a 40 + point center that gets 15 goals and plays against big lines. Then the first is valuable. You can say no but you can’t say the value is lot there.

That's your argument for it being a good trade? The Hall-Larsson trade? Universally accepted as one of the worst trades in hockey history. Lol

The value definitely isn't there.

Severson could work in a deal for Roslovic maybe, but not for Laine unless the add to Severson is much better than Severson himself.

That's also a huge overvaluing of Zacha. A lock for 15 goals and 40 points? Considering at 23 he's never done either, I think it's a lot safer to say he'll continue along at his normal 30 point pace.

Regardless the Jets aren't trading Laine to fill out the 4th line, so with Perfetti in the fold, Zacha holds little value to Winnipeg.
