Divisions will go back to normal soon enough. A team usually wants a little extra in a normal trade from a Division rival than they do from a team they almost never have to see in the other divisions or conference. And that’s the case with an average to good player.

When it’s a 24 year old franchise C still signed for years to come, you need wayyy more from them. This isn’t a terrible package, but I don’t think it’s any more than teams out west or in the Metro would offer. I believe it would take significantly more from Habs to land him. I think there would be 5-6 teams offer this much or more and Sabres would pick out of them.
