I am pretty sure SJ is getting a good deal for Hertl who is essentially a 2nd line center on all good teams. Getting a 1st, most likely a 2nd or 3rd with McCabe getting flipped and a young center in Kotkaniemi who still has potential on an affordable contract is a pretty good return IMO. But sure add a late pick for the 600Gs approximately they would be retaining.

Would Kotkaniemi pass through waivers? Maybe. Reaves is a cap dump, the 1st and McCabe are good. I feel like it’s close and a good idea but maybe TOR sends a 3rd to CAR and CAR sends a 2nd to SJS? Lol.
