While I think that is decent value for Tanev, it isn't enough now. With the Lindholm and Monahan trades, teams are way overpaying. With retention, Tanev will most likely get a 1st and a mid round pick and a prospect like Raty. He's not worth it as neither Monahan or Lindholm were worth what they got.

Like Bar Down, I think the market price for Tanev will turn out to be pretty high.

Given his age and skill set I’m shocked that OTT is allegedly considering trading for him. Their trajectory doesn’t seem to line up with the player’s age.

The good news is that CGY should get a nice return?.
