I see the mobile version of this site has changed, but the mentality of leafs fans remains the same.

One good reason why the Isles take on a one-dimensional player with a monster contract while giving up two good prospects (VERY CHEAP, btw), a solid player (VERY CHEAP, btw), and a pick? Hmm? Eh? Can't think of one? Oh, that's because there isn't one.

That trade is horrid for the Isles. I don't care if your one-trick pony scores 30+, he isn't worth that.

When he said Kessel is one dimensional, I really don't think he was referring to his offensive ability. We all know Kessel is capable of putting up points, but on the defensive side of the puck, he is awful. Like Ovechkin awful.

I love the kessel has never scored 40 but on another team he's guaranteed 50. Could he score 50? Maybe. Guarantee? Far from it. Guys play doesn't really changed dependant on who he plays with it seems to change with how lazy he wants to be. And it's not like Vanek got so much better when traded to the Iles or Moulson was that much worse last year after the trade. Just playing with a more talented player doesn't automatically mean you put up a bunch of points it backfires as much if not more than it doesn't.
