Columbus gets backup for Elvis for one more season till Tarasov is ready for NHL

Edmonton gets potential starter.

Columbus wants a first for Korpisalo and they'll probably get it. If you want them to take Koskinen too that costs extra.

Make it Koskinen + Edmonton's 2022 first round pick and something better than Samorukov and Columbus considers it.

I donâ€™t think that deal looks super attractive but Samorukov probably has about the value of a 2nd so itâ€™s not all that bad. Donâ€™t think Korpisalo gets a 1st right now, maybe they hold on to him and he gets one at the deadline after a good season. The past three seasons Koskinens numbers have been better BTW.

Koskinen has better numbers then Korpisalo in the last few years. The only way I would make this trade if it was straight acrossâ€¦. Even then I might risk going into the season with Smith and Koskinen â€¦ no from Edmonton.

Wow, Koskinen is perhaps the toughest contract to dump in the NHL. I just can't see any team taking it unless you're throwing some picks or prospects in for sweeteners, and you're DEFINITELY not getting a return like Korpisalo.
