I've heard that Chevy wants Suzuki for Dubois!! ?. So probably won't be a trade happening anytime soon.
Also heard that Habs traded for Dach to pursue Dubois. Or replace the possibility of getting Dubois.
So can WPG and OTT work on a deal. Ottawa is really close to Montreal.

WPG finally gets rid of Wheeler, Stanley may be hard to swallow. Just on size and presence alone. But Kylington has so much more upside. Watched Dude he can be top 6 player if given a chance. Plays hard every shift.

I was thinking that Jets could trade Stanley to Vegas for Hague. But Trevor's trade makes sense to me.

I like Nic Hague too, but Vegas has resolved their Cap Issues, so will re-sign Hague.

The Jets shouldn't and won't trade Stanley. He has had no decent coaching, on ice mentoring or played any recognizable defensive system since joining the Jets. Hopefully Bowness will help him realize his full potential and allow Stanley to develop into the player that this team believed he would become when he was drafted. So I don't agree with these trades involving Stanley that try to fleece the Jets into dumping him.

Ottawa has no incentive to do the first trade and Wheeler for Dube is a good start, but unlikely the Jets trade for yet another LD.

Okay, so Stanley & Kylington are out

Dube+? for Wheeler!? CGY shouldn't need to add much based on the $$$ and Wheeler's Age

You could just get Picks that won't be ready or much help for another 4-6 years, but good luck finding a Team with Cap Space that Wheeler would waive to go too. He has a 5 Team Trade List, any guesses which those 5 Teams are!? Minnesota:

WPG's Blake Wheeler FOR EITHER MIN's Matt Dumba OR Marcus Foligno (or Jordan Greenway) + Tyson Jost maybe!? MIN would need to move out at lease $4-6mil to make it work unless WPG retained at least $2mil x 2 years.

I don’t mind the MINs trade except for Greenway. He seems injured a lot.
Wheeler for either Dumba Or Foligno with Jost would be a great trade for Winnipeg.
There is only one thing going for Wheeler, still good offence player. But bad contract & poor locker room guy. Not much of team guy. Personally Dumba might be a stretch. But possible.

@MoxNix is right, WPG can keep or MIN can have Wheeler. CGY’s better off spreading the $16.5mil over the next 2 seasons to fill other needs and keeps Dube for their Future.

Was thinking MIN since they haven’t really replaced Fiala, but comparatively you’d think they’d preferred to have just re-signed Fiala over taking a 36 year old who costs even more

Only real incentive for MIN would be to bring him Home for the Fans, add another a Right Shot and to move Dumba out; something I believe they’ve been trying to do for a couple years now

I think WPG is going to have to add/ pay for a Team to take on Wheeler. Sure he’s a PPG Player, but he’s Old & Expensive and as you mention, he’s not great in the Locker Room.
