Granlund would improve the 3rd line as like Jarnkrok can also play in the top 6 if needed.

Sharks are rebuilding and the key to this proposal is N. Robertson with a chance to play top minutes with SJ.

- SJ isn’t going to retain for two years without compensation. No team would do this.

- leafs need D-men and a Goalie, not more scoring forwards.

- this doesn’t address either teams needs.

So you’re acting like the leafs didn’t add Foligno and O’Rielly the last 2 deadlines. You have no clue what the leafs management will do you mumbled the same thing for years about the leafs getting a goalie and dman when every time they traded for a forward.

I didn’t even read the proposal but that statement is idiotic thinking that the leafs management are completely opposed to adding a forward. The leafs are currently 12th in the NHL for GF and until they are number 1 then their forwards could use improvement.

As per the leafs defence Samasonov posted a 863sv% this season and they still are 19th in the NHL for goals against. Wow if that speaks to how good the leafs defence is then I don’t know what does. They are winning games with Martin Jones in net. Defence has clearly done well Samsonov has literally been awful that’s the problem but now he’s gone and the leafs have looked great.

No the leafs won’t win a cup but they will add another flashy forward that will fill the stands with fans. Can almost guarantee no relevant trade for a goalie or Dman (unless it’s Tanev) will happen.
