1.) I would rather trade up in the draft to get a young center then give all that for kesler his best days are behind
2.) Kesler doesn't want to play in Toronto. His teams on his list were Chicago, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Anaheim. According to Bob McKenzie.
Also that is a lot to offer on Toronto's behalf for a centre under contract for one year. Look how the Bolland trade is working out.
