Florida Panthers Offseason:

Re-Sign:

Johnathan Huberduea (4 years at 4.5 mil per year)

Free Agentcy:

Alexander Semin (1 year at 1 mil with possibility of 3 million in bonuses for incentive)

Viktor Fasth (1 year at 1 mil)

Offence Lines:

Hubby--Barkov--Jagr
Pirri--Bjustad--Smith
Crouse--Bolland--Semin
Trochek--Mckenzie--Jokinen

Scratches:

Shawn Thorton
Rocco Grimaldi

Defensive Lines:

Ekblad--Campbell
Kulikov--Kampfer
Mitchell--Gudbranson

Scratches:

Alex Petrovic

Goalies:

Luongo
Fasth

With the addition of Rilley Smith, Lawson Crouse, Alex Semin and Viktor Fasth I think the Panthers will be able to improve a lot from that 91 point season last year. The best part of this team is that anyone of those players can play on either the 1st line or the 4th line, they have a lot of good ways though shuffle their lines.

Florida Panthers Offseason:

Draft:

with the 11th pick overall draft

Timo Meier, he is a big 6'0 LW and FLA is struggling with size on their wings.

Re-Sign:

Johnathan Huberduea (4 mil per year for 6 years)

Jimmy Hayes (2 mil per year for 2 years) (Bridge Deal to see if he is really consistent)

Alex Petrovic (1 mil for 1 year)

Free Agency:

FLA has said they will be quiet in free agency this year due to all of the young guys they have coming up but I believe they need some more leadership up front and also need to address their back up goalie situation which was pretty bad last year between Ellis and Montoya

Justin Williams (3 mil per year for 3 years)

Anders Lindback (500,000 per year for 2 years)

Lines:

Offence:

Hubby--Barkov--Jagr
Jokinen--Bjustad--Boyes
Williams--Pirri--Hayes
Thorton--Grimaldi--Trochek

Defence:

Campbell--Ekblad
Gudbranson--Mitchell
Kulikov--Kampfer

Scratches:

Petrovic

Goalie:

Luongo
Lindback

Let me know what you guys think!

Panthers88

1.) 29 May 2015 14:31:19
Williams will get more money

2.) 29 May 2015 15:26:23
29 team would offer more for Williams, he'll get in the 6mil range, Lindback will get more aswell. Also Williams is a RW who would play in the top 6

3.) 29 May 2015 15:27:06
Don't think you can go 500k I thought the minimum was 525 but I could be wrong, as well I wouldn't consider 6'0 big its pretty average for NHL and finally I don't think you want lindback IMO he's pretty bad try enroth or Neuvrith maybe good post though man.

As much as I want FLA to make the playoffs this year, I unfortunately think they will miss out.

Panthers Offseason Plans:

Free Agent Signings:

Jagr (RW) 1 year deal at 2.5 million

Justin Williams (RW) 3 year deal at around 3.5-3.8 Million per year

Why they sign with FLA,

Jagr has really done well in FLA (12 games and 9 points with 7 games remaining) he has publicly said he would like to stay, I believe Dale gives him a re-sign.

Williams, LA has already said theat there may not be room for him on the roster full of young talent, he comes to FLA because of Mittchell and he becomes a big part of a young team that needs vetren leadership.

Re-signing phase

Pirri 2 years around 2 million each (bridge deal)

Hayes 2 year deal around 1.5-2 million (bridge deal)

Huby 6 year deal 4.1 million (similar to Bjustad)

Upshall and Kopecky let walk

With FLA depth there is really no need to trade for kessle or jepordize their future so that's why I didn't do any trade.

Lines Offence:

Huby--Barkov--Jagr
Pirri--Bjustad--Jokinen
Boyes--Bolland--Williams
Mackinze--Trochek--Grimaldi

Defence Lines:

Ekblad--Campbell
Guddy--Kampfer
Kulikov--Mitchell

Scrathes:

Thorton
Petrovic

Goalies:

Luongo
Montoya

With this team here I believe that FLA will make the playoffs with alittle more ease that this year, not by a lot but I think thst this time next year they will be where Washington is (90 points with 7 games left)

Let me know your input! thank you!

Panthers88

1.) 29 Mar 2015 19:01:30
jagr resigning is believable, but I see williams going to a more immediate cup contender, nto one that will be so in maybe 3 or 4 years, asby then hell be pushing 40 and likely retired,

2.) 30 Mar 2015 00:46:47
I think FLA will be contenders within 2-3 years and Williams is 33 years old so not that close to 40, but I do see where you are coming from and thank you for your input.

3.) 30 Mar 2015 14:40:48
Your plan looks descent and possible, the results you expect might be wishful thinking.
Jägr on top line, kampfer in the top 4.

4.) 30 Mar 2015 18:40:23
That true. Williams is very probable for FLA to get and if the kids play well with Jagr like this year then I think they will be good

EDM: Eberle

FLA: 2015 2nd, Petrovic, Shore

EDM gets an NHL ready D Man and a good young center that is NHL ready but no room on the Panthers team.

FLA finally gets a young player that can put the puck in the net and improve their dreadful scoring problem

Panthers88

1.) 07 Jan 2015 06:42:51
so florida gives scraps essentially for a top 6 winger that is 24? years old, easy no from edmonton.

2.) Shore is an AHL allstar this year with a point per game record.how is that scraps? and Petrovic is a really good D Man

3.) 07 Jan 2015 16:00:56
petrovic is not a really good dman, and there have been for too many examples of AHL success not translating to the NHL game for me to believe shore is going to be anything special.

4.) 07 Jan 2015 22:41:22
Petrovic is at best a 4/5. Edmonton has these aplenty.

Lander is a AHL all-star and a better than a point a game player. you want him and, let's say Marincin for Huberdeau?

Its essentailly the same deal your offering?

yeah - that's what I thought.

5.) Eberle for Bjugstad + 3rd 2015

10 Dec 2014 22:38:31
Possible Trade?

FLA: Bergy 2nd 2015

CHI: Jeremy Morin

FLA gets another young prospect who can help with the developing prospects, plus him and Pirri have a good history.

CHI gets a really solid 3rd liner with boat loads of energy, Bergy never takes a shift off, plus if he does poorly he's a free agent next year. The second rounder is just added insensitive.

Tell me what you think!

Panthers88

1.) Like the trade don't know about the cap though maybe FLD takes back Bickell Florida and Chicago have a history of trading cap Ex. Campbell so I think it's definetly possible the two have hooked up for multiple trades before

2.) Yeah, maybe FLA takes on some of Bergys salary or CHI throws in a Cap hit player that FLA takes to clear some of CHI Cap

Vancouver:
Jason Garrison (20% Salary Retained)
Zack Kassian
6th Overall

Florida:
Jovo
1st Overall

Why this trade happens is because, Panthers want young wingers that have upside. Vancouver does this trade to get rid of Garrison who has under performed.

Panthers Offseason Moves:

Draft: William Nylander with 6th Overall

Re-sign D Kulikov
Re-sign D Gilbert

Free Agents:
Sign LW Milian Michalak
Sign RW Devin Setoguchi
Sign D Matt Niskenen

Panthers Lines:
Michalak--Barkov--Setoguchi
Flash--Huby--Boyes
Kassian--Bujstad--Bergy
Nylander--Pirri--Upshall

Scratches:
Hayes
Shore

Defencman:
Niskenen--Campbell
Garrison--Kulikov
Olsen--Gilbert

Goalies:
Luongo
Ellis

Panthers88

1.) Van says no. Garrison doesn't waive his ntc. And he was our 2nd best damn last year

2.) ^ that's not saying much. Vancouver was piss poor last season.

3.) The whole team couldn't adapt to torts.

4.) This year the Canucks will win the Presidents trophy. Then everyone will see how terrible Torts was.

As a Panthers fan I like the trade, didn't jepordize future and they get an ageless wonder it seems like lol, plus he may re-sign with FLA after this year (Tallon wants him back) plus he is a good vet in the locker room for the young guys

FLA won't get Kessel because they are smart enough to not jepordise their future.
