The value may be reasonably equal but I do not see where Lehner is a big upgrade over Anders Lindback (and he is free).
2115 21st > 42nd and 48th
Legwand looks like a contract dump, but maybe he just had a bad year.
that leave Pysyk for Lehner minus difference in draft picks and minus the cap dump.
I would rather have Pysyk and Lindback then Lindback and Lehner.

OK let agree that Lindback is garbage, I would still rather have Pysyk than Lehner
check out Lindback as a Sabre: .924 sv% 2.76 GAA the best among all GK who played for BUF last year

This is dumb. Why trade for ANOTHER D while not getting rid of a couple of the EIGHT we already have?
Lehner will go for more than this as he will be packaged with a D (cowen) RFA (Hoffman) and bad contract (Legwand - 3 mil for ONE year, easy to move)

WTF does Calgary want with Anderson?? they have Hiler, Ramo and Ortio and are shopping some of them around, why would they give up good assets for older Anderson when they already have better options to just simply sign?? That 2015 1st is 15th overall too! Overpayment alone for Anderson. they would trade thos assets for a solid top six winger to play with Bennet befroe going after an older goalie.

Whenever I see trades based around a player like Lehner and I see players like Eberle and Vlasic going the other way I can do nothing but shake my head. What has he done in his career do be worth established top end players

I think people (mostly leaf fans) are greatly undervaluing Lehner AND the fact 7-10 teams are calling on him, and Sens ALREADY have firm offers for him should tell you his value. He is a saught after commodity. Deal with it. He will be packaged with a D (probably 24 year old Cowen) and a RFA (probably 25 year old Hoffman) and get a GREAT return.

Enroth, Neuvirth and Dubnyk were all traded for a 3rd, but Lehner and a partial cap dump will return a gritty forward (who Murray says is on his do not touch list) and a 1st in a very deep draft. OK, maybe that will happen (Clarkson was traded after all) but I think the probability is approaching zero that the proposed trade with Buffalo will ever happen.
