Just thinking it would be very interesting for Edmonton to move up and snag Provorov or Hanafin, but what would it take?

EDM: 16th overall, Draisaitl
ARI: 3rd overall

Or

EDM: 16th overall, Eberle, Klefbom
NJD: 6th overall

Idk if it's not enough or too much, but if the Oil can get the best forward AND best D-man in the draft they should at least try

eberle and klefbom ru high

2.) 24 Jun 2015 08:48:28
He is. Draisaitl went 3rd overall himself, why package 3rd and 16 OA for 3OA a year later? (one additional year of developing)

3.) 24 Jun 2015 13:26:13
^ Draisaitl is going to be beaut but they have the nuge and mcdavid going forward making him expendable, as for one additional year of developing hanifin won't need it he can be in the NHL today and that's what edm needs DEFENCE that are ready to play

4.) 24 Jun 2015 13:50:28
too much from edmonton on both, and doesn't really make sense for them to offer those packages to move up

5.) 24 Jun 2015 14:05:02
Probably because draisatl was part of a weak draft year and would go 6-9 if he was in this years draft

6.) 24 Jun 2015 16:16:54
Might consider trading Draisaitl straight-up to a team out east with a pick that could potentially be used to pick a top D prospect like Provorov or Hanifen, especially if the team needed some C depth, but I don't see a reason to add an additional pick or players. Draisaitl will be a very strong C in a year or two, has size and skill, etc. He can be played on the wing if need be, there's no reason to give up further assets in a move like that.

7.) 24 Jun 2015 18:29:15
I don't understand how Leon Draisaitl has the same value as Jordan Eberle and Oscar Klefbom??

ARI: 60th overall

CHI: Raanta to push Smith and possibly take over and Bickell to reach cap floor.

Winger27

1.) 24 Jun 2015 00:35:09
Good trade for both teams. Raanta deserves to be an NHL backup, with Darling now in the picture Rannta is tradable. Bickell is a no brainer, CHI will move him if they can for cap reasons. Arizona gets closer to cap floor and losing the 60th pick isn't a huge loss.
Good post.

Apparently Kessel said he would accept a trade to the Habs.

Here's what I think that could possible look like.

MTL: Eller, Emelin, Fucale, 2015 1st

TOR: Kessel, maybe a mid pick

Montreal would only add 400k to their cap, get their scoring winger, dump Emelin to make room for young D. They don't lose any super valuable pieces.

Toronto gets solid goalie prospect, 1st rounder for the rebuild, a # 2 or 3 center in Eller, and a veteran D to help with the kids.

helps toronto in pretty much no way.

2.) 22 Jun 2015 11:03:49
So two cap dumps A mediocre goalie prospect and a really late first? Omg this is my point stop with the Kessel trades you're so delusional.

3.) 22 Jun 2015 17:55:52
@Bud
As delusional as thinking Dal Colle is a bust when he hasn't even played in the NHL? Or as delusional as acting like a self important douche to those who don't care about your opinions?

4.) 22 Jun 2015 23:59:18
^ Well said winger27, and yeah Toronto wouldn't accept this IMO.

5.) 23 Jun 2015 15:16:19
Toronto wants prospects, it's now a rebuild team. Fucale and the first would help more than enough

A few trade possibilities

CHI: Sharp
WSH: Latta, 2015 1st, 2016 2nd

CHI: Sharp
FLA: Trocheck, 2015 1st

DAL: Shore, 12th overall
ARI: 3rd overall
Dallas selects Provorov or Hanafin

NYR: Talbot
BUF: 31st overall

OTT: Cowen and Lehner
EDM: 16th overall, Pitlick

Winger27

1.) 20 Jun 2015 08:08:56
You think Shore gets you from 12th up to 3rd? Not even close.

2.) 20 Jun 2015 12:33:51
@ Draisaitl_94
Thanks for being so negative.
Next time I'll call all my scouts to get the value correct.

3.) 20 Jun 2015 12:41:28
Well he's right. that's Terrible

4.) 20 Jun 2015 16:28:20
Then offer a suggestion rather than just saying "terrible." That mentality doesn't make this site any better.

5.) 20 Jun 2015 17:20:59
Yea shire could move you up 9 spots . In the 3 rd or 4th round lol

6.) 21 Jun 2015 00:58:07
Well, I have no problem explaining why certain trades won't work, IMO. But this is plain obvious.
How does a guy that was basically an early 3rd rd pick 3 years ago and hasn't managed to play in the NHL yet move you up from 12 to 3 in this draft (or in any draft)? That's indeed terrible.

@ Montrealsfinest
That's because all his posts are garbage and he doesn't like people pointing it out. Only likes to jump all over other people's posts with negativity and condescension like a child so he can feel better about himself.

IMO, age isn't much of a factor. Sharp didn't have a great regular season because of injury and playing fewer minutes when he came back, BUT he still put up 15 points in 23 playoff games playing almost every one of those games on the 3rd line. Still has speed, plays great D, can score, and brings a lot of big game experience to the table. Chicago definitely won't get a max return with their cap situation, but they can still get a solid return considering if a team only gives up picks/prospects they immediately have a better chance of winning the cup the next two seasons by adding a top line scoring winger like Sharp to their roster.

I don't think Chicago needs rights wings. They've got Hossa and Kane and also don't need any other big contracts. They have to dump salary.

Core A: Zero Cups
Core B: All have multiple Cups minus Teravainen.

I'll take Hawks core all day over Tampas.
