Nashville Predators Ryan O'reilly and a 3rd draft pick 2015
Colorado Avalanche Roman Josi
only because nashivlle has 6 forwards over 30 like mike Fisher, Mike Ribeiro, Olli Jokinen and Matt Cullen retires they will be looking for a top 6 player and O'Reilly is a grate 2-way forward. For colorado Roman Josi will pick up about 30 plus points a season and can play top 2 minutes
1.) Josi would easily be the nr 1 dman in Colorado. I don't really see the benefit for NSH. Although the deal might be fair.
2.) I like the idea of O'Rielly in Nashville. I am not sure it makes sense to trade Josi to get him though.
3.) Nashville will not trade Josi unless it's for a top point producing forward. O'Rielly will not put up 60+ point seasons.
Josi is very underrated, and is probably a number 1 defender on some teams, but if not he is a number 2. They don't grow on trees.

No thanks from ottawa zibby finally showed the other night what he is capable of he is going to be a very good player he is 21 ya mabye he doesn't come around as fast as every one wanted but it will be worth the wait and Cowen said it before chara didn't come around till 24 or so not going too give up on him

2.) Hedman is playing his best hockey right now, and t.b are cup contenders this year no way he goes anywhere
3.) Not even close here. Colorado would have to offer something amazing to pry Hedman from Tampa

I get your point drownedfish - but if Colorado WANTS Hedman, you HAVE to give up pieces like Duchene and Barrie.
The situation could be different if it was Tampa wanting Duchene and Barrie.

I guess you guys haven't seen Hedman play lately. The pairing with Stralman gave him the last few % he needed to be a top 5 defenseman in the league.
He's a cornerstone, franchise defenseman and will anchor the lightning blueline for at least the next 10 years.
So Duchene and Barrie is the very least COL would have to give up to only make Tampa consider.
I really don't think I'm biased here, because what would you say if it was the same discussion about Pietrangelo or Doughty.
Just wait and enjoy Victors greatness.
11.) Yeah but since they lost Stastny to FA lately, it would not be a smart move at all to trade Duchene. They need him. Otherwise they're "only" left with MacKinnon to play C. Or O'Reilly gets shifted to C what leaves a hole at wing. As for Hedman he's really good. And every team would be lucky to have him on their roster.

i could literally say everythign you just said and replace the word defenseman with centre and tampa with colorado and you have the definition of duchene.
13.) I am a HUGE avs fan and I agree we could not get Hedman. Realistically if we were looking at 1st round dmen Gudbrason and Schenn are more realistic players we could acquire with what we are willing to give up.

Well, TB does not want to trade Hedman. Not at all. In this scenario, it'd be COL reaching out to TB, and the likely answer would either be an immediate click in the phone wire or something exaggerated like give us Duchene/MacKinnon, Barrie and some 1sts, if you want to Victor.
Having Hedman is a million times more important for Tampa than it would be to have Duchene.
16.) @Drais yeah I'm not saying Hedman is not valuable for Tampa. Hell he is. But if you look at it from the avs point of view, it would not make any sense to trade something like Duchene/MacKinnon, Barrie + for Hedman.
It's very simple. A trade like this would not make any sense for Tampa nor Colorado.

Thats what I meant, THEGR81. It fills COLs need, but it weakens TB. TB is super deep up front. Of course Duchene would help them and be good for Tampas offense. But Hedman helps the Tampa D so much more than Duchene could ever help their offense.
Thats the point were it's totally nonsense and where TB would need Barrie as a partial replacement for Victor + Duchene/MacK + picks to make up for it.
Sure not going to happen, from either side.
19.) @THEGR81 You should read the comments properly. Sure they need D! In the comment above I'm only referring to a Hedman trade. And you can't tell me that trading a package like Duchene, Barrie + (several) firsts, as Draisaitl_94 wrote, helps Colorado! This would be plain dumb.
I agree with you that they have to improve their D but not with a trade like this. Or am I wrong and Hedman would produce Duchene's and Barrie's (let alone all those firsts) for the Avs? NO.
