NYI: Jaroslav Halak [2.25 mil (50% ret) ], Josh Ho-Sang, and a 2018 2nd round pick.

SJS: Aaron Dell, Barclay Goodrow, and a 2018 3rd round pick.

Isles goaltending is a dumpster fire rn and Aaron Dell is the hottest promising starting goaltender on the market. Goodrow is a solid bottom 6 winger.

Sharks will need centres to help replace Thornton once he retires and while Coture can become the number 1 they don't really have a 2nd line centre in their pipeline and they potentially get that in Ho Sang who isn't fitting in with Isles. Halak will perform better behind a better defensive core.

1.) 14 Jan 2018 05:02:15
There some good free agent goalies i don't think isle wanna give up ho sang.

2.) 14 Jan 2018 05:59:24
i thought ho sang played wing not center though?

3.) 14 Jan 2018 16:01:45
Who would want to trade Ho sang? He has so much potential. Got to give something to get though and If they don't make a move to get a starter they are going to lose Tavs in the off season.

FLA: Pysyk (2.75 mil), 2018 2nd round pick, and 2018 5th round pick.

VAN: Chris Tanev (4.45 mil)

Panthers need more defensive help and while Pysyk is 25 he's still raw and makes a lot of mistakes from the Panthers games I've watched this year. Panthers need better possession numbers and Tanev has only had one year where he was negative in possession in relation to his team.

Canucks get a younger d-man on a nice contract w term to help w the rebuild along w a 2nd.

1.) 11 Jan 2018 16:16:13
Oh this is interesting.

2.) 11 Jan 2018 20:04:49
Harmonic got a first and 2 seconds so canucks want no less than that because Tanev is a better damn than Hamonic is.

10 Jan 2018 05:19:48
ANA: Kevin Bieksa (4mil), Max Jones (894K), 2018 1st round pick, and 2018 3rd round pick (NJ or ANA whatever better) .

MTR: Max Pacioretty (4.5 mil), David Schlemko (2.1 mil), and 2018 5th round pick.

Canadiens are apparently looking for an A ranked forward prospect and a 1st for Patches, I don't believe he warrants that for the season he is having. Max Jones is a B prospect who projects to at least be a top 9 forward with good goal scoring/ finishing abilities. Haps also get a couple picks.

The Ducks need another scoring wing with Perry's terrible year (6 goals in 32 games) and Eaves' medical condition. Also trading Bieksa for Schlemko gives them a bottom pairing D-man with term on cheap for the foreseeable future and a little more space to add one more piece to make a playoff run.

1.) 10 Jan 2018 06:14:27
Bieksa has NMC not a chance he will waive it for Montreal.

2.) 10 Jan 2018 14:42:06
Like Bergevin said MTL try to reset and not rebuild, they try trade player for great young NHL player and not pick or prospect.

3.) 10 Jan 2018 18:59:51
Max jones is not a a rank prospect his a c+ maybe a b-.

4.) 10 Jan 2018 22:26:42
Come one man Ana adds.

05 Jan 2018 18:20:54
ARI: Anthony Duclair and a 2018 6th round pick

CAR: Haydn Fleury and 2018 4th round pick.

Yotes get a solid D prospect in Fleury, Canes get a potential sniper to help finish all those chances they never convert.

1.) 05 Jan 2018 23:56:29
This is a good trade fits both teams needs.

2.) 06 Jan 2018 05:35:17
Now this is a fair trade.

3.) 06 Jan 2018 07:44:46
Pretty good trade. Both still young.

4.) 06 Jan 2018 07:45:07
Fits teams wants or needs.

TBL: Tyler Johnson (5mil), Libor Hajek, Adam Erne, 2018 1st round pick, and 2020 2nd round pick

VGK: David Perron (3.75 mil), Erik Haula (2.75 mil), and 2019 3rd round pick.

Why Tampa does this: Johnson's contract is really going to hurt Tampa considering the fact that Point is playing unreal and supplanted Johnson as the 2nd line centre with Johnson on RW. Perron has actually outscored Johnson in less games (31 points in 32 games vs 29 points in 38 games) and is on the last year of his deal. Haula gives this team a 3rd line centre that they could really use, and Haula has been fantastic this season (27 points) with 3 years left at a reasonable price of 2.75 mil.

Why Vegas does it: Yes the team recently resigned Haula but I believe this could be good for the Knights as they get a good player for the future in Johnson who can play centre or wing and has a lot of term left on his deal. He can be a permanant piece of this team's future and can be good veteran and a fan favourite as he is pretty popular among Lightning fans (or at least was) . Hajek is a good two way d-man that Tampa had traded up for to get. He's a great skater with solid size and physicality and his offence hasn't improved this season in the WHL. Adam Erne seems like he can be a 3rd or 4th line winger in the future, but for a young team like the Knights adding a lot of prospects and picks along with great veteran leadership can never hurt.

1.) 05 Jan 2018 09:33:48
Why would TB do this? Does not really make sense for me. Johnson is performing pretty good for his current price tag. 5m for a good two-way player putting up ~0.8 points per game after a slow start seems fair to me. So he is a worthy piece of his own, especially for a franchise like Vegas that needs skill (I know they've been doing great so far, but they are still not a very skilled team) . So there's really no reason at all to treat Johnson like a cap dump and add so many pieces to this deal. A quality D prospect currently excelling for the Czechs at the WJC, a solid middle 6 winger in Erne and a 1st and a 2nd? Geez.

2.) 05 Jan 2018 17:15:34
Ya that's way too much from Tampa. Why treat Johnson like a dump? Given current cap situation they're fine if cap increases like projected and if they decide to move Johnson before NTC kicks in i think they'll be able to get value for him not add big pieces just to dump the deal. Johnsons deal looking like less of an issue than when he signed want to get tampa to give assets for a dump were talking Callahan and Killorn.

I have a question about something I've been seeing a lot on this site in regards to Vegas Golden Knights traded. Do they have a top 6 draft pick in this year's draft regardless of where they finish?

I know last draft they were guaranteed to be at least 6th to pick but I thought that was just for that year. A lot of you on this site have said the Knights wouldn't trade their 1st this year because it's guaranteed to be number 6.

I just wanna know what's up because I feel outta the loop lol.

1.) 27 Jan 2018 00:04:33
The only place I've heard of it is on here. Didn't bother to look to find out for sure but I'd be guessing there pick would be based on there position in the standings.

2.) 27 Jan 2018 21:27:16
I've said before I thought Vegas gets 3rd best odds in the draft lottery for their first 3 years. Because it would help them be a little more competitive sooner. But I think that info I heard or read somewhere long ago is dead wrong.
They just got those odds for their first draft, not the first 3.

03 Oct 2017 20:50:06
Anyone else a little surprised by how little Josh Anderson signed for? 1.85 mil per for next 3 years.

1.) 04 Oct 2017 01:41:07
He gave in. Just wanted to play hockey.
I'm not surprised by the $ amount. I am surprised at the term (3 years) . Would have though two years max to prove he's worth more.

Pretty happy Vilardi fell to the Kings like he did 😁😁.

14 Feb 2017 21:53:06
Big news in Montreal WOW. That's a real middle finger to the B's by Julien.

1.) 15 Feb 2017 16:57:47
How is that middle finger to the Bruins. THEY fired him he found a new job. Its buisness.

17 Jan 2017 20:20:36
The Isles finally fire Jack Capuano. FINALLY!

1.) 17 Jan 2017 21:51:37
Now they jus need to fire Snow.

2.) 17 Jan 2017 22:08:51
GM Snow is their problem. Lol.

3.) 18 Jan 2017 02:46:39
Lol yeah, but at least this is a step in the right direction. Needed a new voice begind the bench.

4.) 18 Jan 2017 05:10:42
Agreed, unfortunalty it was fairly obvious Capuano would go before Snow. Hopefully Snow has used his last scape goat tho. Hopefully they Hire Gallant.

Idk Hertl isn't that spectacular of a player, he's been a 35-45 point guy these last 4 years. Hasn't looked the same since his rookie year in 2014.

I believ they should retool the roster and get rid of their useful vets that still have value.

IT also helps that Ranatanen is also a point per game player. Everyone forgets about Rantanen. There's a reason those two were the only "untouchables" for the Avs in the summer.
