Not cool to put my posts in a fantasy area, everyone on this site basically have Fantasy trades.
I have a few who personally go out of their way to attack me no matter what I have posted and I am called a Troll?
Just wanted to post my thoughts on what's going on here.

IF Marner is traded and it's a big IF with so much involved including The Leafs deciding to Trade Marner, plus Marner waiving his NTC and sign an extension with a new team, if it happens I have a proposal that involves Utah as they have made it clear they really want Marner, this is my proposal.

Knies
Liljegren

4th Round Pick 2025


Lots of big moving parts for both Teams but with a move like this it would reshape both teams.

Utah in the end get the best player in the trade in Marner, Knies who played so well in College with Cooley are back together and Liljegren gives Utah another Defenceman with still an upside ceiling.

Leafs want to stay competitive adding what they added in free agency, deal with the cap as well as ending the soap opera of is Marner staying or going, this proposal fixes everything.

Anaheim full of very good young players but missing that one piece of an elite player like Marner to take them to that next level is why Anaheim would do this.

Changes were promised by Treliving and with really Marner both having the most value and giving them more Cap flexibility this would be a huge step, Adding McTavish, RStrome and The 3rd Overall Pick helps going forward also.

This seems to be closer than your other proposals. Tor may have to increase their pick for the amount of cap ducks would be taking on or keep the same picks, but toronto retains a bit.

If Marner is traded imo it will be just before or at The Draft on Friday, now I really don't believe he will be but if that were to happen I believe a proposal would look like this.

Would be the biggest trade in NHL history, and all players that have a NMC/NTC would have to waive it.


Anaheim would get not only a true Captain in Tavares who should get a new inspiration living where he can be warm all winter and be the main centre, but also some very good young talent including two 1st Rounders which is so important in their rebuild.

Treliving rolling the dice of not only trading two 1st Rounders but hoping these young players from Anaheim will be able to play to full potential being under pressure, imo it's worth the risk.
