I’ve been paying close attention to Anton Lundell, and I believe he would be the ideal trade candidate for habs! He’s only making 5mil per for next 4 years!. Florida could then resign Bennett ,ekblad and Marchand,. Habs would have a responsible 23 yr old 2way 2nd line center

I think if they want they could trade laine to Vancouver for a 2nd round which would clear 8.7 to make it roughly 27 million

Id kick some tires on Kuznetsov from KHL.. I'm not a huge fan, but I'm thinking for Demidov .. maybe a 2 year 4m per..
Love to see Lafreniere in a Habs uniform, but not at expense of Heineman , Struble ect..
Whats exciting about the Habs is the depth they have with these young stars.. They need the Heinemans and Strubles to win. I think some minor tweaks are needed, but now it's time to let the boys grow into what they are.

By the time Hutson new contract is up the cap is rumoured to be 8.5 million more so habs would have 24 million + Mathesons 5 million off, so there’s plenty of money for demidov and Hutson then the next year there’s Gallagher and Anderson off the books that’s another 12 million . Habs are in a great spot!

I don't see the Canucks making any trade for Laine, but I could see a trade where Habs acquire 15th overall, for the 16th overall and 1 of the Habs 2nd round picks.
This would be contingent on whether Carbonneau is available at 15th.

To me, Beck should somewhat be considered untouchable. The kid is gonna be a tremendous leader as well as great penalty killer and 3rd line center man for potentially 10 years. He will be the type of guy that you win playoff series with.
He might not be flashy, and won't score 30 or 40 goals, but he will do the little things that don't get noticed on a stats sheet.

The Islanders would do better trading each guy separately. The only really desirable pieces are the two picks and you're trying to dump Laine on them as well.
I can't see the Islanders having any interest at all in that.

Not sure what the Habs cap situation is looking like, but Ekbald would be a great add for them on the backend. These playoffs he's really come into his own. Reminds me of Pietro as of late. Gives them the option to deal less assets to go after a 2nd line center ?♂️.

Habs apparently want Beckett Sennecke at #5 which is crazy, Demidov should be their selection if he’s available. If they want Sennecke why not just trade down and grab some assets?

@Sosahabs24! Sennecke ranks #16, Habs rumours are all over the place. Apparently they want Lindstrom if he’s available and if not they’ll take either Iginla or Sennecke. Idk how credible those rumours are though.

Honestly I think habs could get nemec for matheson 50% retained + 17th overall
New Jersey has a lot of right handed defenders
Hamilton, Casey, pesce, kovacevic… devils adding matheson makes them better and habs adding rhd nemec fits the plan of a rebuild

I haven’t given up on Dach yet . Tage Thompson is a hopeful comparison, he started coming into his own at age 24, that’s where Dach is now, but I think for this year he’s better suited for the 3c role.

3 first round picks, a former 3rd overall (24 yrs old) and a former 2nd overall (27 yrs old) for a 38 yr old and 39 yr old seems fair! Especially for a team in a complete rebuild! … add Mailloux if that’s what it takes.

I would start with offering a trade proposal to Anaheim first then I would threat the offer sheet
Maybe : Mailloux, 2025 first (Calgary) ,2025 second round (Pittsburgh) add Roy or Farrell maybe gets it done and we can maybe offer sheet Dobson.
