1)
To Coyotes:
2023 1st
Perfetti
Heinola
Lucius

To Wpg:
Chychrun

2)
To Flyers:
Pionk (for cap space)
2023 3rd
2024 3rd
2025 2nd

To Wpg:
JvR.

Extremely unlikely the Jets give up the equivalent of 4 first round picks for another LHD in Chychrun.

They might look at Chychrun, but Perfetti and Lucius probably would not be on the table, so a deal wouldn't work.

Even less likely that the Jets overpay so drastically for JVR. The 3rd in 24 on it's own is more than generous enough for JVR at 50% retained.

2.) 28 Feb 2023 22:38:14
Both are a HUGE no from Winnipeg wtf, completely one sided trades.

3.) 28 Feb 2023 22:58:03
I think these might be the worst 2 trades I have seen on this site. Winnipeg laughs.

Given the rumour Calgary is considering moving Weegar and Pionk’s inconsistency this year.

Winnipeg trades Pionk

Calgary trades Weegar

Pionk has more points this year and has a higher career ppg ave but Weegar has a better +/ - both this year & career.

Spekulator

1.) 21 Feb 2023 19:17:35
Calgary isn't likely to move Weegar before his extension even kicks in and Weegar isn't going to waive to go to Winnipeg.

2.) 21 Feb 2023 21:22:04
- agree with Memarcus?.

Winnipeg makes 2 trades to try and wake up the D.

1:
Winnipeg sends: 1st round 2021 pick & J Morresay
Nashville sends: M Ekholm.
Might be the kick and takes some pressure away that Morresay needs to get his form back.

2:
Winnipeg sends preferably 3rd round pick but could be a 2nd & Beauleau
CBJ sends: D Savard

Winnipeg protects: Ekholm, Pionk, Stanley and gives some cap help to resign Savard.

Winnipeg D pairings could look like
Ekholm - Savard
Forbett - Pionk
Stanley - DeMelo
Heinola - Pooman

Those would both, especially the first one, be easy no's from Winnipeg.

Morrissey is worth far more than Ekholm by himself when age and contracts are considered. Kind of a pointless trade too, when the Jets are trying to add to their D, not just make a lateral move where they get older.

For the second one, Savard is playing like a bottom pair D this year, so maybe a 3rd by itself or a 4th or 5th if the Jets throw in Beaulieu.

2.) 21 Mar 2021 21:35:20
Morrissey > Ekholm. Memarcus and Island are going to hate you

3.) 21 Mar 2021 22:15:31
Morrisey>Ekholm.

4.) 22 Mar 2021 00:41:22
What? Why would they trade Morrissey? he's the more valuable guy.

5.) 22 Mar 2021 02:32:35
Morrisey is already better than Ekholm, easy no from Winnipeg.

Second one is definitely closer, could see a 2nd getting Savard at the deadline, maybe add a low-end prospect or so, but that one's not too bad.

6.) 22 Mar 2021 15:30:38
I would like to see stubborn Maurice play Heinola and give Samberg a chance before they make trades. Any trade for a d-man may not make the Jets better due to Maurice's lack of any recognizable defensive system.

Winnipeg Jets get:
- Dylan Cozins
- Rasmus Ristolainen

Buffalo Sabers get:
- Cole Perfetti
- Sami Niku
- Matthew Perrault (to balance $$)
- 1st round pick

Spekulator

1.) 09 Mar 2021 19:14:29
Why would Buffalo do this?

2.) 09 Mar 2021 19:39:20
Why would Buffalo move Cozens and Winnipeg move Perfetti? Both of those guys aren't going anywhere.

A little over a year of Ristolainen doesn't warrant a 1st in return and Perreault is playing really well, so it is unlikely he'd be moved.

Also, with the c.v. quarantine issues there probably won't be to many cross border deals this year.

3.) 09 Mar 2021 20:16:55
VB, the trade deadline should not be affected because of the cross border, if your a playoff team you don’t need the player for the 14 days he’s missing because of quarantine, your already making the playoffs.

4.) 09 Mar 2021 21:28:15
The cross border quarantine will definitely affect the market. Not saying there won’t be any trades between Canadian and US teams, but I imagine they will get done sooner than the deadline. Or teams will look at similar players that don’t Need it before going that route

And because you’re making the playoffs anyway doesn’t mean you don’t want the guy in the lineup ASAP. You want him to find chemistry with linmates, learn your system etc. Not just get dropped into the game for playoffs and hope to get your money’s worth on a trade. That’s foolish.

5.) 09 Mar 2021 22:18:20
The Jets don't need a mistake pron overpaid Risto who is a -153 in his NHL career.

6.) 10 Mar 2021 02:54:48
Islandjet, look at the team risto has been on though. can you really expect him to have a positive plus minus on a team as bad as buffalo?

Combine this

To Wpg: Duchesne

To Ott: Trouba

With

To Wpg: Ceci

To Ott: Comrie and Petan and 1st round 2020 if either sign.

Or

To Wpg: Chabot

To Ott: Comrie and Petan, 1st round 2020 if Duch signs, 2nd round 2020 if Chabot signs.

Spekulator

1.) 05 Feb 2019 05:07:06
Duchesne.

2.) 05 Feb 2019 12:06:58
What a stupid trade. Ottawa isn't parting with Chabot. Wow who thinks of this rubbish.

3.) 05 Feb 2019 13:46:09
No chance that the Jets trade Trouba before the summer.

Ottawa had zero need or reason to move Chabot.

4.) 06 Feb 2019 02:37:00
Ok so what about the Ceci option?
And if you can’t make a respectable reply, then just don’t. I don’t give 2 $hi*$ about your holier than though attitude.

LMFAO.

There’s a few options with PLD.

1) he sees that he’s going to be the centre the jets build around but not so much in Montreal, and signs in Wpg long term. (Highly unlikely but still possible)

2) my thought the most likely is: he signs another 1 year contract and get traded to Montreal in the offseason so they can get an 8 yr extension.

3) Montreal’s biggest fear and what gives my above option teeth, he signs a 1 yr deal in Wpg and they trade him to recover some assets to a contender team in the east that has a hx of keeping big name players long term. Like TBL, Fla, Boston, or Washington for examples. He finds he’s happy there gets paid well and stays long term and Montreal is out of luck.

4) he signs a 8 yr extension in Wpg with a full no move, then demands a trade to Montreal and plays like he did in the end with CJB to push the trade along. Thereby forcing the Jets hand and sending him to where he thinks he wants to go and at a fair to reasonable price.

With the history of Winnipeg keeping 26% ($1.95m) of Laine’s salary, CBJ gets their 3rd round pick back and keeps $1mil of salary (that keep them cap compliant) . Effectively that would make it PLD for Laine and Savard for Roslovic.
