Edmonton must at least think they can make playoffs at this point. They bring in secondary’s scoring without disrupting the roster in any meaningful way and get something for Puljarvi.

There’s a rumor that they probably won’t want to give up as much as what some teams will offer NJ for Hall so they might be talking to LAK about Toffoli. Article suggests possibly Toffoli/ Lewis for Gagner/ prospect. A prospect not named Bouchard, Broberg or Benson. Possibly Yamamoto or Puljujärvi. Gagner included for cap reasons obviously.
I wouldn’t mind Krieder tho, but he’s not worth the 1st++ those two is he? That’s an overpayment. He would fit as well, him or Toffoli.

Kreider is a UFA. That is too much for him.
I can’t imagine him wanting to sign here in Canada.

This is unreasonable from a cap stand point.
I would add:

×Gagner to NYR
×Fast too Edmonton
×$750k retained of Kreider by NYR

*Both added players are UFAs
*Gagner is the only cap dump that fits

I would take out the pick seeing that Kreiders an 2020 UFA

*Make it conditional based on playoff appearance. Although maybe a lesser pick.
