Not even enough for Tarasenko alone.

24 Apr 2015 18:58:41
lol @ not enough for tara alone.

tara outproduced nyquist by something like 18 points. is 18 points really worth another futer top 6 guy and 2 1sts? no.

tara might become a consistent point a game producer, but that's no worth a nyquist, jusrco, and 1 sts return, not even close.

24 Apr 2015 21:53:35
lol just noticed now that I called jurco a top 6 guy, meant future* top 6 guy, of course he isn't one quite yet.

24 Apr 2015 22:07:25
Yes it is. Detroit constantly makes the postseason, which makes these picks picks around 20 or even lower firsts. Jurco isn't a future top6 guy, top9 at best. Nyqvist is good and all, but Tarasenko's potential is just so much higher, he's already a game changer and one of the best players in the NHL right now.
So yes, it isn't enough for Tarasenko alone.

that first trade is terrible. easy no from the blues

25 Apr 2015 17:57:31
i know your buddy yzerman likes to throw around late 1sts like they're worthless, but they really arent. you can get a very very good player with a 20-30th pick. and geting a player there is not gettting a player whose a diamond in the rough liek a datsyuk or zetterberg for example, very good players are constantly chosen in the 20-30 range. tarasenko himself was chosen 16th, meaning a playoff team from the previoss season's pick chose him as you know.

25 Apr 2015 18:49:22
Ok Thanks for the feedback. I wasn't sure about Tarasenko's value.I thought it might not be enough but you got to admit Z-berg-Datsyuk-Tarasenko line would be scary.

Jurco could be top 6 but right now is a top 9. His development could determine what level he achieves.

What would just Shattnerkirk cost? Detroit needs a top pairing RH D-man. Preferably Seabrook Or Shattnerkirk.

Would love Hamilton but unlikely.

Plus, your adding a potential top 2 guy in shattenkirk so no way in hell that happens.

26 Apr 2015 10:02:47
Um, how does Yzerman throw them away? The only one I can remember is this years for Coburn, a veteran D presence meant to help the playoff run (which seems to already finds it end monday tho).
All the years prior, Yzerman has been known for being especially careful with all of his picks, so that's a pretty bad point made, if it's a point at all.

26 Apr 2015 18:58:40
yea it was a joke about that horrible coburn trade, have a sense of hunour lol.

27 Apr 2015 16:27:58
I do, but once doesn't equal "likes to throw'em around", haha.

Also, you have to see the Coburn trade togehter with the Connolly trade. We got 2 2nds there, that's why we dealt away a 1st and 3rd. that's ABOUT even, roughly.
Which leaves Gudas and Connolly for Coburn. Still not the best trade, IMO, but not totally awful.
