Goodness, lots of waiver players today.
If the Leafs WERE smart, I would say pick up Linden Vey; cheap, young, skilled hockey player; could end up being a decent pickup like Panik last year.

For other teams, I definetly see Dustin Tokarski being an inexpensive third-string for teams like Arizona or Boston.
Maxime Talbot could play well on basically any fourth line, so why not pick him up at 900K?
Mason Raymond is a question, pick him if you have enough cash- he's worth a gamble if you got the cash. Looking at teams like Arizona, Carolina, New Jersey & possibly Toronto here.
Frankie Corrado is an ideal fit as a depth defenceman for many teams- definetly could be nice for Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Boston etc.
Dylan Olsen is still young, could work for NJ or TOR
Mark Barberio & Tim Erixon are nice depth pieces, Philly could snag one, Boston could, LA, etc.
Sam Carrick is young, decent fourth liner in the future, could be nice for NJ
One player who shouldn't (kinda obvious) be picked up is Andrew MacDonald. No way, in any chance should you pick him.

If I'm Toronto, I claim Vey, Corrado and Tokarski.
All 3 are young player with great upside.

Players like MacDonald might get picked up by Arizona so they can fill their cap while getting a veteran to teach the young players

I really hope Marchessault goes unclaimed. This guy could play on any bottom 6 in the league, he got played over Drouin in the playoffs at times. Just no space for him in Tampa, but I fear someone will grab him

I can see the leafs picking up Marschessault and have him and Panic on the third line. They're essentially going to get their 3rd line from Tampa for free
