Also, Edmonton doesn't need depth on every position.
Anton Slepyshev,Bogdan Yakimov,Luke Gazdic,Andrew Miller etc.
That's our depth. If you want to get Yakupov, you will most likely get Ference/Nikitin back, and we need another player to fill Yakupov's role.
And top 6 defenceman.

Way to much for yak I don't care what hi potential wus. He is a bust at this point. Change of teams might be the only thing that keeps him in t e nhl at this point

No.
1st, Yakupov is not worth 4 young promising players (excluding bozak) and a 1st round pick on top of it. Yakupov has not shown anything worthy of a 1st overall selection thus far despite playing with elite high end skill on his team.
2nd, Yakupov is not the kind of player the Leafs are looking for; Toronto is building their team with a group of young hard working players that are dedicated to becoming better athletes and people. Yakupov is a whiner that threatens to leave to the KHL when he gets criticized.
3rd, This trade hurts Toronto more than it helps them; Toronto is trying to keep/acquire young assets, not move them.

Thats jsut awful, Zero need for Edm to trade him right now and especially for that crap! Two years $2.5M and now older stronger wiser mature and will be playing with Nuge and or McDavid! Zero need to trade him for that package, nice try - jk

@stammers2leafs2016 when did he threaten to go to the khl when did he whine. sure he had problems with eakins but he was being put on the 4th line when he was coming of a good rookie season . personally I think it was the fact that he was playing with a regressing gagner and no 2nd line center(with the exception of roy) for most of those seasons.
