I would honestly rather have Holl as Saved will just be a rental. He also had a down season and may be on the decline.

There are three players that I hate seeing proposals for, Larsson, Manson, and Savard. All are very overrated imo and it seems that leafs fans just look at the big body and say “that’s our guy” without looking at any other stats.

Are they though? I mean their numbers don’t really show it. I mean Larsson is only a +16 throughout his hole career and was -28 last year while an even 0 this year. His corsi and fenwick numbers over the past few years raise some red flags.

Savard is a +43 throughout his career so a bit better, but this year he was -3 during the regular season and -4 in the playoffs. His corsi and fenwick numbers also look very shaky. He just simply had a bad season by his standards and since he is aging and on the last year of his deal, it’s just not something Dubas would consider imo.

+- is an irrelevant stat and Corsi/ Fenwick numbers should only be measured relative to usage in which they both are relied upon in the most defensively critical situations.

I like plus minus and when I played I always took pride in trying to be a plus player and I’m assuming the pro’s do too. But it’s more meaningful relative to the teams goal differential or maybe the goalies save percentage.
