Zary fine, Coronato no, unless he’s a Fox and won’t sign in Calgary. Chychrun worries me but I’d try him for the 3 other than Coronato.

It'd hurt to give up all that but it probably takes at least that much to get Chychrun.

These CGY trades are pretty generous to the Flames faithful, and much less realistic than DSC's Detroit offers for Chychrun, who is a valuable piece that many teams will want to make an offer for.

The eventual deal that snags Chychrun will be proof of that.

@Chickenfoot I agree Cychrun will likely get more than he's worth just because everyone will be bidding on him. But this is still a good offer, it's just not crazy good.

The thing is some team probably will make a crazy good offer. Something like a top 5-10 pick and comparable prospects or maybe a top 16 pick, a pretty good roster player (2nd line/ pairing) and one top prospect. The first would make sense for non playoff or bubble teams with plenty cap space, the second from playoff teams, both true contenders and wannabe contenders.

The big question with Chychrun is why are the Coyotes even thinking about trading him?

I doubt it's injury related as some have suggested.

I suspect it's because Arizona is still rebuilding and they already know Chychrun won't be resigning if they're still rebuilding in 3 years. So they've decided to shop him now and see what kind of offers they get. If they get a good enough offer (I think they'll get several) they'll trade him.

Chychrun's scoring has dropped over 270% from last year and he's a -29. At 0.27PPG and that bad of a +/ -, something's wrong with him.

Mox, I think we both said the same thing. I believe the market value for Chychrun will result in a deal more generous than the proposed CGY package.

I'd prefer Oliver Bjorkstrand for either Zadorov or Monahan + Valimaki + 1st + Zary, Dube or a 2nd before Chychrun.
