Second Round Selection in 2023
( VAN - CHI )
To Vancouver Canucks :
C/ RW - Tyler Johnson ( 5.00 @ 2 UFA )
To Chicago Blackhawks :
RD - Tyler Myers ( 6.00 @ 2 UFA )
( VAN - PHI )
To Vancouver Canucks :
RD - Ryan Ellis ( 6.25 @ 5 UFA )
LW - Oskar Lindblom ( 3.00 @ 1 RFA )
To Philadelphia Flyers :
RW - Brock Boeser ( RFA )
LW - Micheal Ferland ( LTIR )
REASONING :
Vancouver - both Myers and Ekman-Larsson are made available, fans are assuming Boeser’s time in Van is over
Chicago - extremely weak on the right side
New Jersey - they need/ want someone with experience to play alongside Dougie Hamilton
Philadelphia - Ellis already wants out, and Philly could use a scoring winger to replace Giroux’s offense
JT Miller - Bo Horvat - Conor Garland
Nils Hoglander - Elias Pettersson - Andreas Johnsson
Tanner Pearson - Tyler Johnson - Vasily Podkolzin
Oskar Lindblom - Jason Dickinson - Juho Lammikko
Quinn Hughes - Ryan Ellis
Ryan Graves - Tucker Poolman
Jack Rathbone - Travis Dermott
Thatcher Demko.

That makes a mediocre and soft team, even more mediocre and softer.

The first and last trades heavily favor Vancouver. Second trade I don't know enough about Johnson, if he's any good then it favors Vancouver too.

Van doesn't really have the cap space. if these trades went through. hypothetically. Van would be taking on more cap.
Although, I think Graves would be a great add along side Hughes.
