Levi is an unsigned and unspectacular goaltending prospect. He’s 20, without a sniff at the NHL, even in BUF. You don’t get Dvorak for that, and Levi is a long shot to make the NHL.

Levi is currently attending college at Northeastern, so he has to remain unsigned.
I believe he is a decent goalie prospect, although just not with a high draft pedigree.
I do agree that Levi wouldn't fetch Dvorak in a return, but if I am Buffalo, I am not sure I would want a player such as Dvorak.

No from Buffalo Levi has very high organizational value due to him being the centre piece of the Sam Rienhart deal.

Your value has absolutely nothing to do with who you were traded for.

As a prospect, Levi is rate behind UPL, Leinonen, and Portillo. He is not a top organizational prospect, and he certainly faces long odds to make the NHL.

In the Sabres eyes that’s not true they payed a lot for him, he’s preforming exceptionally and he will get a chance after he graduates. In a vacuum imo Dvorak holds more value but different organizations value their players differently.

VB: Levi's value has NOTHING to do with what they squandered in a trade to get him. He is ranked 4th in the BUF system behind UPL, Leinonen, and Portillo. An asset's value is what he's worth TODAY, not what you gave up in the past. UPL has trade value, Levi does not. He'll be lucky to get a contract from BUF.
