Montreal has to think about trading evans and then resigning him this offseason, I think he could be the most sought after trade to any contenders …2 options
1st option
Mtl trades with Washington
Evans and a 2nd round
To Washington for Ryan Leonard
Out of respect to ovi caps have to go all in now
Option2
Jake evans
To devils for nemec

Only Montreal considers those deals.

Habs wouldn't get either of those top prospects for Evans. Best thing for Habs I think is try and keep him for 4-5 seasons. Don't risk losing him. He's a valuable bottom 6 player that when needed can play top 6 for injury relief as well as a great penalty killer .

Nemec would require a serious package to even get NJ to consider it.
Evan’s will be traded, but it’s unlikely he’ll be re-signed by the Habs. His agent will rightly cash in on the season he’s had, but the challenge will be living up to the AAV he’ll earn. He’s a really good addition to any team, but every player has to slot in at the right cap hit.

You think very highly on Evan's. He'll get a 3rd and a lower prospect.

I suspect a trade for Evans will look similar to, but slightly better, than the Lehkonen trade that made with Carolina when they received a prospect and a 2nd.
Evans is on a 20+ goal pace, is a center who is good in the dot, defensively responsible, and he’s a pending UFA on a cheap deal.
Though it’s possible the Habs could keep him, it’s more likely they trade him. His value will never be higher, and it’s also likely the salary he’ll rightly earn as a UFA will exceed what should be paid a bottom 6 center, even one that can play up in a lineup.
Happy New Year one and all?.
