Sabres are weak at Left Defense and strong on Right Defense and the Leafs the opposite plus Jokiharju and Lehtonen played together for Finland at The World's.
I believe Buffalo are ready to part ways with Mittlestadt with Cozens close at Centre to becoming a full time NHLer, The Leafs add some depth at Centre adding prospect Mittlestadt and The Sabres getting a good bottom 6 Winger with speed and size that is good at the PK.
I know Dubas said he is done but you can always tweek some to your roster and this proposal does that.

Thoughts ?

Doesn't look like a great fit for either team.

Trading young players is a risky thing unless you're loading up for a cup run, and neither team is in that position yet.

I wouldn't give up Mittlestadt regardless.

It’s a no from Buffalo like almost every other time you proposed a trade similar to this. There not going to just give Mittelstadt away yet.

Imagine having 8th overall in 2016 and picking Alex Nylander (left Sergachev, mcavoy and others on the board) . Then they follow that up with Middlestadt 8th overall in 2017 leaving Suzuki, Brannstrom and a few others just behind him. Rough.

Like obviously the 1st and 2nd overall guys (eichel/ dahlin/ reinhart) they did well with, bit missing on a cpl later top 10s is the difference Between getting out of a rebuild with a solid foundation and firing your 3rd GM in a few years to start again.

At the time of the draft Nylander and especially Mitteldstad were really good pick I’m not sold on them being busts.

Chill brother. when you post trade proposals on this site not everyone will agree with you. Have some fun with it, but if its upsetting you, maybe its not for you.
