Montréal trades for Crosby, this proposal I feel is fair or at least a start
MTL sends : Dach , kapanen, engstrom, mesar and ( both 2nd round 2026 or 1st round 2026 top 10 protected)
Pitt sends Crosby
Habs get to keep hage , reinbacher and fowler making their draft picks expendable
Lineup with Sid
Slafkovsky Crosby Caufield
Demidov Suzuki laine
Gallagher Newhook Bolduc
Flo xehjaj Evans. Anderson
That’s a scary forward unit for any team

Its a good potential offer but the Habs would have to give up Dach, one top end prospect instead of several bottom 6 ones and make it 2 #1 picks, unprotected to be fair for Crosby.

Dubas probably bites tbh, but that's because he has poor asset management abilities.

If the Habs are in a good spot come the deadline then it will cost them less IMO as I think Crosby would only waive to the Avs or the Habs and the Avs don't have the pieces the Habs do to make a deal happen. But I still think we are more likely to see him stay with the Pens.

I tend to agree with MG, as usual. Crosby would be a great addition to any lineup, but the Habs would do better at the deadline to add a less expensive 2C if it is necessary to do so.

The Habs have built great asset depth, but it’s tough to lose so much, even for Crosby, for a couple of years.
