MTL: Ehlers

Jets: Leikonnen, Brook, second round pick, and Primeau.

Ehlers would nicely fiill a huge void in Habs top 6 fold.

Jets land two solid prospects in Brook and Primeau. Leikonnen would fit nicely on their 3rd line. This trade benefits both teams long term.

I wouldn't do Primeau for Ehlers straight up, he's are future #1 goalie. Brooks is looking like a future top 4 D, Lehkonen is a solid middle 9 player and a second is good to have. I see no reason MTL does this trade unless Winnipeg adds Roslovic and Vesalainen.

So how is Ehlers a top line forward in your opinion islandjet? Funny thing is his points per game is almost exactly the same as Nylander who is considered by many on this site as terrible. And only 900,000 difference on contracts.

Calling BROOK a future top 4 is a stretch and Lehkonen is garbage compared to Ehlers. I don’t think Primeau ever dethrones Price either btw.
