At the April Trade Deadline.

Buffalo Trades
THall (50% of contract retained)
6th Round Pick 2021

Toronto Trades
Engvall
Der-Arguchintsev (KHL)
Kokkonen (SHL)
1st Round Pick 2021
1st Round Pick 2022 (Conditional)

At the Deadline NHL player Contracts are a lot less if traded to another Team in THall's case with 50% retained it will only be 905k in Cap Hit for Toronto.
The conditional 1st Round Pick 2022 only goes to Buffalo if THall resigns in Toronto.

I don't think I need to explain why both teams would do a trade like this so not breaking it down why I posted this proposal.

You can't make picks conditional on re-signing anymore with the new CBA.

20 Feb 2021 18:06:25
I think that Hall will be traded to the team that offers the best package and this one is not that good.

20 Feb 2021 18:12:40
Taylor Hall has a NTC, he'll choose where he goes as a playoff rental.

@memarcusjoe
The new CBA? There is no CBA in place, just this past season Toronto and The Kings did a Trade where there was a conditional draft pick in place that if Clifford re-signed with The Leafs The Kings get a 2nd Round Pick 2021 if not The Kings get The Leafs 3rd Round Pick 2021, so you posted untrue facts.

@MoxNix
THall has a NTC? Again not true information, THall signed a 1 year deal with no NTC in that deal.

Please people know your facts before you post otherwise you look foolish.
If you think it's not a great trade etc. I completely understand everyone's opinion on here just not misinformation.

Pinball you’re the one that looks foolish he’s right. There isn’t a new CBA the CBA was modified.

20 Feb 2021 23:14:16
@pinball my mistake, it's not a NTC, he's a UFA at the end of the season. Almost as bad, no team is going to trade very much for him as a rental. Buffalo would get more if they let teams talk to him first than they would as a pure rental, therefore where he goes is still up to him.

20 Feb 2021 23:56:51
Do a little research Pinball. The CBA was changed before the return to play in July and Hall has a one year deal with an NMC.

20 Feb 2021 23:57:46
I just checked, it's a actually a NMC which is basically a NMC with additional conditions preventing him from being waived or sent to the minors.

So yeah, if you want to split hairs, technically it's not a NTC, it's actually worse.
