Omg so Anaheim giVes Shane Write and Sam Steel for 2c. No way that 1st is traded.

I thought they’d be a little better this year. Could always switch to a 2023 first.

As much as I love the Looch, I think a second rounder is a little heavy at this point in his career.

Calgary would either have to give another piece to Anaheim or replace one of their pieces to Buffalo. Zary to buf instead of steel for example.

Monahan isn’t getting close to that return. Max a late first at the deadline.
09 Oct 2021 06:06:35
At the deadline Monahan will be worth -more- than that. He'll be back to normal again this year post surgery.
Eichel isn't worth anywhere near this.

@hockeydad you’re delusional boomer.

Reinhart just got traded for a late first, although it was a bit of a steal a Monahan trade would be similar IMO.
12 Oct 2021 04:00:54
@Ebsolutely Reinhart wasn't a bit of a steal, that was highway robbery. I still can't believe Treliving couldn't work something out for substantially more than a goalie prospect and a late first round pick for him!
Heck Dustin Wolf and the Flames much earlier first (13th vs 24th) would have been better and that would have been a steal too.

Lol okay fair enough but I mean that’s what he was traded for. So hard to say how much more Monahan would get.
