I would hope that the Jets wouldn't do any of those trades.
Extra cap space doesn't help the Jets sign top free agents as its hard for them to convince players to sign to play in Winnipeg.
Getting 3rd/ 4th line players in return doesn't do much to improve the team at all.
I know the Jets may not be in a powerful trading position as of now but by the draft teams may pay more to outbid competitors for any Jet players being offered in trade.

i might be interested in ehlers but i think the flames should keep there 23 first.

I doubt Minnesota would move Rossi and will have trouble fitting Scheifele with all the dead cap they have.

Maybe on the Calgary one. It depends how much the Jets like Zary and Dube.

With Dubois being willing to go to more teams than Montreal, with any luck the Jets won't have to worry about getting stuck with a bad contract like Dvorak as part of the return.

But from the latest Chevy speech, it doesn't sound like a rebuild is happening just a restructuring, so Ehlers probably won't be available and likely only one of Scheifele or PLD.

Yeah, honestly I have no idea if any of these would be close. Just wanted to post some ideas lol

The Scheifele trade is not bad, although it is a bit of a gamble for Minnesota. They're thin on center depth and this trade would help them a lot but I think they might would've liked more term on Scheifele's contract, since they're giving up good assets in Rossi and their first.

PLD trade should work value-wise, but I'm not sure if the habs would want to give up Barron. He's been pretty good for his stint with them and looks like he has solid top 4 potential. The habs are a bit thin in D propects so I'm not sure they would want to trade one of their best away, especially considering there's a good chance they pick a forward with their early first round pick.

Not too bad. PLD gets more from a contender imo tho.

PLD ( 8 year extension ) for Byfield would be a cool trade.
