Just some good player options for Montreal to target in the offseason.
MTL - VGK
MTL - Alex Tuch, Marc-Andre Fleury (2 mil retained)
Vegas - 2021 first,2020 2nd, Ryan Poehling,

OTT - Marc-Andre Fleury (50% retained for 1 year (2.5mil), 2020 3rd (WSH), 2020 4th (ANA)

(I personally think Fleury is worth this as he is still a good goalie and his cap hit would only be 2.5mil, hence paying Thomson).

Puljujarvi is in the AHL for season 1 until Tatar contract expires, then Pul moves into Top 6. Rather have Weal play 4th line minutes then Puljujarvi

I don’t think Ottawa does that trade, Fleury is still good and at 2.5 is a steal but that trade would only work if he’s going to a team that needs a goalie and is close to the cap, Ottawa has plenty of cap room and wouldn’t be wanting to trade a good prospect for him and the Winnipeg one is to much of an overpayment, Domi alone is good enough as Heinola hasn’t proven enough to be worth a good 2C and a young NHL D plus a 3rd.

The Jet don't need the headache of resigning Domi. Heinola had 5 points in 8 games with the Jets before he was sent down so the Jets would rather keep him.
If the Habs tried to send Pully to the AHL there would be at least a dozen teams that would take a chance to steal him off waivers.

I actually didn't know that Puljujarvi had to clear waivers, or I would of either not signed Toffoli or traded out Tatar to a team like Pittsburgh/ Edmonton for something. In regards to Domi where he isn't signed and neither is Mete, its why I included both plus a 3rd. Just trying to help rebuild the havs backend for when petry walks in a year.

I figured Ottawa would do the trade to stay competitive and I mean they can always flip Fleury at the deadline and retain half again and get a haul for him @ 1.25M.

Very true but if you are looking to flip Fleury then I’d suggest a team like Chicago or Edmonton as they still are competitive teams looking for a cheap 1 B type goalie.

Randy brother, how's that engrigue Edmonton at all? Fucale is about the same as LB and Beaulieu is another lefty and again I said this yesterday 2nds and this won't equal the quality at #4.

The closest Mtl. has to a "top pairing defenseman" is PK, and that's questionable.

Beaulieu and the 9th is good enough for the 4th depending and who EDM wants. EDM would be making a mistake drafting another forward at 4. If they think that the d-man they want will still be there at 9 then it would work. Plus they get beaulieu as a bonus.

As a Habs fan, that would be great lol. but, I think that 4th is going to go towards a top dman. I can see Oilers and Islanders doing a deal with the 4th, Yak for Hamonic, Isles 1st and maybe 3rd.

Take out Fucale or Shera and replace with a 2nd rounder and I like the trade. Second trade looks good as well. Might have to bump the pick up to a 2nd. Second line looks good now.

Eller is really not contributing to the Habs lineup and he puts up more minutes than Chucky. If they could get a 3rd round pick it would great. Cap dump. same thing for Desharnais. Replace then this summer with UFA's.

This HUGELY cripples Montreals Left side defense group. The lefties on the team now would be:

If I am the Habs, I wouldn't make this trade unless the GM can also get another top 4 LHD.
