Demko is a backup goalie. I know he is still young, but really he isn’t worth that much. I don’t think I would even trade the 15th pick straight up for Demko and Virtanen, let alone throwing in Dermott.

Are you all serious? Like what? Virtanen is a 3rd line forward who can step into a top 6 role if there is an injury. Dermott is ready for a second pairing role, he proved that when Muzzin and Reilly were both injured this season. Dermott for Virtanen is a fair trade. So are y’all saying 15th pick is worth Demko?

Thinking about it again if Kappy is worth all of that then Virtananen is worth something similar but personally I wouldn’t move the 15th for that.

Vancouver says no. Dermott is not a top 4 guy. Leaves D corps sucks and that's why he was elevated there. Demko has proven his ability in AHL and is projected to be a #1 in the NHL. There are no guarantees but I am not into that deal at all. Also, Leaves got a 1st for a third liner in that deal with Pitt! lol
